RECLINERS

Disc and Flange:
A seat recliner including seat back and cushion supports connected about a pivotal axis and positioned relative to each other against pivoting in an infinite array of positions. The mechanism features include infinitely-variable manual or powered adjustment of the backrest angle combined with centric or eccentric, easy-entry function and table function. A high-load version is available for seats with integrated seat belts.

Linear Recliner:
A seat recliner mechanism particularly suited for use in the front seats of pickup trucks and two door vehicles, as well as in the rear seats of vans, minivans, sport utility vehicles, station wagons and the like. A single release handle is provided to adjust the angle of the seatback as well as to dump the seatback to a forwardly folded position. The present seat recliner mechanism enables the reclining and forward folding motion to operate about a common axis or independent axes.

Conventional:
The seat hinge assembly includes a lower hinge member adapted to be secured to the seat bottom, and upper hinge member adapted to be fixed to the seat back, a latching mechanism operable in the latch mode for securing the upper hinge member in a fixed position relative to the lower hinge member and an unlatched mode for releasing the upper hinge member for movement relative to the lower hinge member, and a memory mechanism operable in a non-actuated mode and an actuated mode. A seat having a single position memory feature that permits the seatback to be returned and latched in a predetermined "design" position after having been folded into a memory actuating position.
